Harmonic waves

Movements of three selected points for travelling transversal (above) and longitudinal (below) harmonic wave. Points oscillate around an equilibrium position denoted by the dash-dotted line with the same period but a different phase. Note that the left and right points are in phase (synchronised), whereas the middle point is in counter-phase to those points.
